CAPS 0.1.50: Euro Truck Simulator 2 Arrives

CAPS 0.1.50 is an Alpha update. Navigator, the tablet and Shadow now work in Euro Truck Simulator 2 as a beta, with a ready-made Europe map to start on. Routes end in the yard, new maps never switch in mid-route, and reporting a wrong turn takes one tap.

What’s New in CAPS 0.1.50

  • Navigator in Euro Truck Simulator 2 (beta). The GPS map, the tablet and Shadow now work in ETS2. Distances are in kilometres, fuel in litres and money in euros, and the HOS tab follows EU driving-time rules. It’s a beta: expect rough edges and tell us what you find. Your ETS2 trips, stats, rankings and achievements stay separate from ATS; pick your game with the switch at the top of the site. The live map on markernorth.com is ATS only for now; ETS2 is coming soon.
  • A ready-made Europe map. No ETS2 map yet? Navigator downloads a ready-made Europe map and shows it while your own map builds, then switches to yours. Regions from DLC you don’t own may not match until your own map is ready.
  • Ferries and UK roads. Ferry crossings in ETS2 take the right time, so routes use them when they should. In the UK, divided roads are drawn on the correct side. If you already built an ETS2 map, Navigator rebuilds it once for this.
  • Routes end in the yard. Routes to a company now end inside the yard, not on the highway beside it, so the docking guide can take over.
  • No surprise map switches. A new map never switches in while you’re driving a route. Navigator tells you it’s ready and you choose Use it now.
  • Report a wrong turn. Tap the flag on the turn panel, or tell Shadow “that turn was wrong”. Navigator saves a full report and copies a short one you can paste on Discord.
  • Map builds explain themselves. A slow PC, a missing file or a PC that went to sleep is named plainly. Mods that broke other drivers’ builds are left out right away.
  • Inspections in your trip history. The Logbook and the coach report card show whether the pre-trip and post-trip inspections were signed.
  • Docking guide on the pop-out tablet. It comes up by itself while you back in, then goes back to your screen.
  • Ask Shadow about fuel. Ask how much diesel costs and Shadow tells you the price here and where it’s cheaper on your route.
  • Post your segment times. After your first clean run on a segment, Navigator asks once if you want to post your times to the public leaderboard.
  • Two start-up switches. “Start CAPS when Windows starts” and “Open this window when Windows starts” are now separate, under Settings & privacy in the Hub.
  • Navigator Pro. Your driving coach report card shows on the trip’s page on markernorth.com, wherever you share that trip. Pro members can also give a friend a free week of Pro once a month from the Navigator Pro page.

If something looks wrong, right-click the CAPS tray icon and choose Send Navigator diagnostics, or tap the flag on the turn panel. Thank you for driving with us.

CAPS 0.1.49: Marker North Is Now in Alpha

Marker North has moved from Pre-Alpha to Alpha. CAPS 0.1.49 brings the Marker North Hub for Windows, a docking guide for backing into the bay, natural voices for Shadow and the crew, and Navigator Pro. Map builds are more reliable, and Navigator stays free for every driver.

What Alpha Means

Pre-Alpha was about getting the basics working on as many PCs and mod lists as we could. In Alpha, CAPS, Navigator and Shadow do what they are meant to do every day, and the work moves to making them dependable: fewer map builds that stop, fewer installs that need help, and steady new features. Things can still change, and your reports still shape what comes next.

What’s New in CAPS 0.1.49

  • The Marker North Hub. CAPS now has a window of its own. Open it from the CAPS icon by the clock. It shows your game, map, account and Shadow at a glance. Your Navigator tablet can sit right inside it, or pop out over ATS. Drive view gives you the map with gauges, trip, truck and Shadow panels. Move and resize them, or pop any panel into its own small window. You can also set up Shadow, pair a phone, see your account and choose what you share, all in one place. It opens when Windows starts (you can turn that off), never while ATS is running, and it’s in English and Spanish.
  • Docking guide. Back up within 150 m of your delivery and Navigator draws the yard from above: the bays, your truck and trailer to scale, and where the trailer is heading. Simple cues tell you which way to turn the wheel, when to straighten out and when to pull forward. It closes when you set the parking brake, drive off or deliver. It only shows you; it never steers.
  • Shadow hears every question. Hold push-to-talk and ask anything in your own words: Shadow turns your voice into text right on your PC, with no Windows setting to change. With Navigator Pro, “Pro ears” understand you even better through accents, road noise and place names.
  • Directions in Shadow's voice. Spoken turn-by-turn directions in English now use Shadow's own voice made on your PC, so “keep right” sounds like your dispatcher, not a robot. The device's voice steps in if it is ever slow.
  • Book loads by voice (Navigator Pro). Ask Shadow “find me a reefer load to Denver” and he answers from the load board, then routes you to the pickup when you say yes.
  • Your runs on Discord. Your Discord profile shows what you are hauling, where to and your truck while you drive. Turn it off in the Marker North Hub under Privacy & data.
  • A new Help Center, inside the Hub too. Getting started, Shadow, map builds, phone and tablet, Navigator Pro and billing, and troubleshooting, all in one place at markernorth.com/support.html. In the Marker North Hub, choose Help to search it without leaving the window, send diagnostics or ask on Discord. Without internet, the most common fixes are built in.
  • Navigator for Android is on Google Play. No tester group or sign-up anymore: get Marker North Navigator on Google Play, pair it with CAPS and drive. iPhone and iPad stay on TestFlight while Apple reviews the app.
  • Natural voices for Shadow and the crew (Navigator Pro). With Pro, Shadow, Moana, Officer Sandi and Loki speak with new, more natural voices made on your own PC; everyone else hears the voices you know. If your PC is too slow for them, the voices you know take over by themselves. Moana now takes the night desk, Officer Sandi reads your inspection results in her own voice, and Loki shows up on channel 19 now and then.
  • Shadow knows your name. Tell Shadow what to call you in Options > Voice. Your push-to-talk key is back in the CAPS tray menu too.
  • Real distances and 12 languages. The turn card now shows real-world distances, the distance you actually drive in the game, and spoken turns are timed to your speed. Tap the REAL tag to switch to map distances. Spoken directions come in 12 languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Polish, Russian, Turkish, Dutch, Czech, Italian and Hebrew (Options > Voice).
  • See your linked phones and tablets. The pairing page lists every phone and tablet that’s linked, with when each was last seen. Remove one without disconnecting the others.
  • Phones and tablets without the app. No app? Scan the QR code or open the link on any phone or tablet browser, pair it and drive.
  • Twitch in the Media tab. Watch a stream in Navigator on your PC between loads; on a phone or tablet, the Media tab opens it in Twitch.
  • Segment leaderboards. Post your clean times between cities and see how you stack up on markernorth.com, by name or as Anonymous.
  • Big mod lists build. With a long mod list, ATS can take a while to write all your mods to its log, and Navigator used to wait and never start. Navigator now finds your mod files itself and builds right away.
  • A missing cargo file no longer stops your map. Some yard and company mods list a cargo that isn’t installed. ATS skips it, and now Navigator does too.
  • A finished map is never thrown away. A rebuild with the same mods used to fail at the very last step; now the new map simply replaces the old one.
  • Clearer reasons when a build stops. Navigator names the real cause, like a mod file that was moved during the build or an antivirus that removed part of Navigator, instead of guessing.
  • Reconnect this PC. If your PC’s connection to your account ever stops working, right-click the CAPS icon by the clock, choose Reconnect this PC and sign in. No reinstall. CAPS Setup also asks you to sign in when an update finds the connection isn’t working.
  • Repair in CAPS Setup. Run CAPS Setup again on the same version to repair CAPS, for example after an antivirus removed part of Navigator.
  • Navigator is free. Navigator is free for every driver, with no end date and no payment card. Turn it on from the Downloads page.

Because the map builder changed, Navigator builds your map once more after this update. Your current map stays on screen while it builds.

Navigator Pro

Navigator Pro is for drivers who want more from every run. Everything above stays free; Pro adds:

  • Ask Shadow anything. An AI dispatcher that knows your truck, your load and your route.
  • Hours co-pilot and driving coach. Drive and break clocks planned along your route, an arrival time that counts every break, and a report card after every load.
  • Trip replays, road atlas and dashcam. Replay any trip on the map, see every road you’ve driven, and replay collisions, fines and emergency stops, with a video clip from OBS if you use it.
  • Load board. The best loads from where you are, ranked by what they really pay per mile after diesel, from your game’s own job offers. Shadow pitches the best one when you’re free, you take it in the Freight Market, and Navigator routes you to the pickup.
  • Your company, on the radio. My company shows your garages, hired drivers and trucks with the game’s own 7-day books, and Shadow calls in fleet news when a hired driver delivers or a garage loses money.
  • Explorer and a weekly report card. The cities, truck dealers and recruitment agencies you haven’t found yet, nearest first. Every week, your grade, profit, best load and safety score, ready to paste on Discord.
  • A career on the road. Owner-operator books (with your in-game company: hired drivers, garages and trucks), CDL training with the air brake check, fuel strategy, freight contracts and roadside inspections with your own safety rating, which now counts the game’s own police record.
  • Drive together. A convoy board with a shared route, a ride-along link your friends or Twitch chat can watch on markernorth.com, and a streamer kit with OBS overlays, chat commands and Stream Deck buttons.
  • Truck buttons. Say “Shadow, hazards on” or tap a button on your tablet. You bind them in the game’s controls. They never steer, accelerate or brake, and they stay off on TruckersMP.
  • Segment history and the Pro role on Discord. Your times on the roads you drive often, a call from Shadow when you beat your best, and #pro-lounge and #pro-support on the Marker North Discord.

See everything Pro includes on the Navigator Pro page.
