Shadow, your dispatcher

What can I ask Shadow?

Hold your push-to-talk key, ask, and let go. Here's what Shadow can tell you, out loud and on the Dispatch tab.

What Shadow is

Shadow is the dispatcher inside Navigator. He reads your live game in American Truck Simulator or Euro Truck Simulator 2 and answers your questions in a few words: your load, your route, your fuel and your truck.

  1. Set your push-to-talk key in the Hub under Shadow (or in Navigator, Options > Voice).
  2. Hold the key, ask your question, then let go.
  3. Shadow answers out loud, and the answer shows on the Dispatch tab. On a phone or iPad you can type instead.

Shadow turns your voice into text on your PC, so your voice stays there. You don't need exact words: the examples below are just ideas.

Free everyday questions FREE

Every driver gets these. Shadow answers each with one quick fact.

Your load and the drive

What you're hauling, where it goes, how far it is and when you'll get there.

  • "What am I hauling?"
  • "Where am I delivering?"
  • "How far do I have to go?"
  • "What's my ETA?"

Fuel and the nearest stop

Fuel left and range, the nearest fuel station, rest area or repair shop, and a route there.

  • "How much fuel do I have?"
  • "What's my range?"
  • "Where's the nearest fuel station?"
  • "Find me a rest area."
  • "I need a mechanic."
  • "Take me to the nearest fuel station."

Rest and your truck

When you need to rest, and your truck's overall condition in one number.

  • "When do I need to rest?"
  • "How long can I drive?"
  • "How's my truck?"
  • "Any damage?"

You can also just say hi, ask for a joke, or say "say that again".

What Navigator Pro adds NAVIGATOR PRO

Navigator Pro is an optional membership. Everything above stays free. With Pro, Shadow does more:

Ask in your own words

An AI dispatcher that knows your truck, load and route answers questions in your own words, within a monthly AI allowance.

  • "I'm getting tired, what should I do?"
  • "Talk me through the rest of this trip."
  • "Do I have time for a coffee stop?"
  • "Should I fill up before the city?"

Trip briefing and timing

A full trip briefing or summary, and whether you'll make it on time.

  • "Give me a trip briefing."
  • "How did I do today?"
  • "Will I make it on time?"
  • "Am I running late?"

Fuel, breaks and stops

Whether you'll make it on this tank, where to take your break, and stops with more, such as fuel with a repair shop.

  • "Can I make it on this tank?"
  • "What's my MPG?"
  • "Where should I take my break?"
  • "Take me to the nearest fuel station with a repair shop."
  • "Take me to Reno."

Detailed truck checks

Each part of the truck and its gauges.

  • "How's my engine?"
  • "How are my tires?"
  • "What's my oil pressure?"
  • "Any warning lights?"

Lights, brakes and trailer

Whether your headlights, wipers, hazards or diff lock are on, how hot your brakes are, and your trailer's license plate.

  • "Are my headlights on?"
  • "Are my wipers on?"
  • "Are my hazards on?"
  • "Is the diff lock on?"
  • "How hot are my brakes?"
  • "What's my trailer's license plate?"

The road and the cab

Your next turn, where you are, the speed limit and what the load pays.

  • "What's my next turn?"
  • "Where am I?"
  • "What's the speed limit?"
  • "What does this load pay?"

Your logs

Certify each day's log in the Logbook, like an ELD. Shadow knows which days are waiting, and after your 10-hour break he reminds you.

  • "Do I have any logs to certify?"
  • "Are my logs signed?"
  • "Is my logbook up to date?"

Truck buttons by voice

Shadow presses a truck button only when you ask. He never steers, accelerates or brakes, and truck buttons stay off on TruckersMP.

  • "Hazards on."
  • "Hazards off."
  • "Wipers on."
  • "Wipers off."

Driving coach, voices and rest reminders

  • Driving coach: a report card after every load.
  • Natural voices: Shadow, Moana, Officer Sandi and Loki sound more natural, made on your PC. On a slower PC the standard voices take over by themselves.
  • Rest reminders: Shadow reminds you when a break is due. Say "no more rest reminders" or turn them off in Options > Voice. They switch off by themselves in a convoy and on TruckersMP.
